From Stone to Sea was not simply curated — it was collectively imagined, adapted, and built. At Dar Qandeel in Tulkarm, we departed from the notion of a single authoritative curator. Instead, we embraced a shared spatial and emotional logic—rooted in listening, improvisation, and hands-on invention.
Working with Dar Qandeel’s artists and community, we shaped the exhibition in response to the site's evolving needs—material, emotional, and spatial. From reinventing how artworks traveled out of Gaza, to crafting display elements from found materials, each gesture became part of a living architecture of care and presence.

This curatorial process was inseparable from the space itself, the artists’ struggles and dreams, and the labor of a community committed to reclaiming the tools of expression. From Stone to Sea became a celebration of shared authorship—where nothing was imposed, and everything emerged in motion.
